A few important points about what our service is — and what it isn't.
Last updated: 4 July 2026
Macclesfield Roofers is a free way for homeowners to reach one independent local roofer who covers Macclesfield and the surrounding area. Please read the following alongside our Terms of Service.
We are not a lead marketplace
Your enquiry goes to a single roofer. We do not auction it, sell it on, or distribute it to a panel of trades who then compete for your job — and you will not be contacted by other companies as a result of using this site.
We are the introducer, not the roofer
We do not carry out roofing work ourselves, and the roofer is not our employee. They are an independent business, responsible for their own work, pricing, insurance and registrations.
Vetting is best-efforts, not a guarantee
We take reasonable steps to check the roofer's public liability insurance, references and previous work — but we can't guarantee the standard of any individual job. Roofing has no mandatory registration scheme in the way gas work does, so always confirm the roofer's insurance yourself and get any important terms in writing before work starts.
Emergencies and safety
If water is getting into your home, turn off the electrics to any circuit where water is near a light fitting or socket, and keep out from under a bulging ceiling. Please do not go onto the roof or up a ladder to look — falls from height are the single biggest cause of serious injury in this trade, and a storm-damaged roof will not hold weight where it used to. This site can get a roofer to you, but it is not a substitute for the emergency services.
Doorstep callers are not us
We never call at your door, and we never telephone you unless you have asked us to. If somebody turns up unasked saying they have noticed a problem with your roof, they have no connection to this site. Do not let an unsolicited caller onto your roof.
General information only
Any guidance on this site is general information, not professional advice for your specific situation, and it is not a substitute for a structural engineer or a building surveyor where one is needed. Rely on the assessment of a qualified roofer for your particular job. Questions? Email phil@localbusinesswebsites.uk.
